Hello, and welcome to part two of our blog series on the top myths associated with the hCG diet. In our previous post, we touched briefly on two common myths we often hear about the hCG and, in today’s post, we are going to finish up our debunking with the final three myths that we hear. The hCG diet, when conducted as it should be, has proven to be an effective tool for individuals looking to shed a large amount of weight in a short amount of time. While no diet is perfect, some of the myths that surround the hCG diet are laughably uninformed, and we feel that it is our duty to make sure that these salacious lies are not considered fact. Myth 3: You’ll never be able to lose weight without hCG again.

 

How this myth is as prevalent as it is, we don’t know. What we do know is that it is another one of those myths that is just completely untrue. While your body may get used to the fat fighting properties contained with hCG, there is no way that it will have such an effect on you that you will be unable to lose weight without it ever again. If this myth had any sort of truth to it, it would stand to reason that pregnant women would not be able to lose weight after they have children. Considering there are plenty of moms out there who shed the baby weight just fine, we here at New Beginning Medical just can’t buy into this myth. We feel that more commonly, individuals finish their hCG diet cycle and then do not follow the aftercare rules that are set in place. Not following the rules leads to weight gain, and they falsely assume that, without hCG in their system, they are unable to lose weight.

 

Myth 4: You’ll lose a lot of muscle

 

This myth is a dangerous one to believe because it completely negates one of the best aspects of the hCG diet: the diet is designed to target fat deposits and leave muscle alone. While this myth is not true in most cases, we feel that we understand why the myth surfaced in the first place. When conducted correctly, the hCG diet has very little effect on an individual’s muscle mass. However, if the hCG diet is not properly conducted by the individual, loss of muscle mass can occur. So while we do not agree with this myth, we can understand where the root information arose from. To avoid losing muscle mass during an hCG diet cycle, we encourage all of you to follow the directions of the diet as closely as possible. The hCG diet is not something that should be experimented with, and it is in your best interest to follow the methods that have been proven as the safest and most effective.

 

Myth 5: You will regain the weight once the diet is over

 

The final myth that we are going to cover in this series, and one that we hear all the time, is that as soon as the diet is over, you are going to regain the weight that you lost. This is another one of those myths that is sort of true but fails to take in the full context of the situation. If, after you finish your hCG diet, and you immediately begin to eat foods that are high in starch and sugar, you are definitely going to regain some weight. However, in the latter part of the diet, dieters are specifically told to avoid these types of foods for at least three weeks after the diet cycle has ended. If a diet instructs you to avoid certain foods and you decide to ingest those foods anyway, it makes sense that the diet is not going to be effective. Our advice is to follow the rules of the diet as closely as you can. By doing this, you will limit the amount of variation in the method of the diet, increasing the chances that the diet will be successful for you.
