Are HCG Injections Right for You?
Through our years of helping people lose weight through the utilization of the HCG diet, one question seems to pop up more than others: “Will the injections hurt?” While we understand people’s hesitation in regards to injections of any kind, we here at New Beginnings Medical wanted to use today’s blog post to help assuage any fears that our readers may have in relation to HCG injections. We want everyone to be comfortable with our diet program; however, that is difficult to accomplish if people already have the idea in their head that these injections are going to be too painful to make them worthwhile. Is the Injection Method Worth it?
Think back to the last time that you got a shot. If you’re anything like the average person, it probably didn’t feel too good to get stabbed in the arm with a needle and, honestly, we would have to agree that shots are at the very bottom of our “fun things to do today” list. However, HCG injections are not in the same family as most injections that people receive from the doctor. Below, we have listed a few reasons that our injections are not nearly as painful as ones you may have previously experienced.
- Tiny Needles: When most people think about getting a shot at the doctor’s office, they imagine a syringe filled with liquid tipped with a needle that looks like some sort of medieval torture device. Many injections that people receive require the use of a longer needle because the liquid must be pushed past the fat and into the muscle that sits below it. HCG injections, however, require no such needle. The needle used for our injections is tiny, most commonly measuring around 5/16 of an inch in length. The length and width of the needle, coupled with the fact that the injection is delivered directly into a person’s fat layer means that, often times, people barely feel anything when the injection is administered.
- No Burn: If you have ever received a tetanus shot, you are well aware of the fact that some injections can burn. While we put up with this discomfort for important injections, it’s still not very fun to have to walk around for the rest of the day with an arm that feels like it took a solid punch. Luckily, HCG injections do not burn when they are administered and, in most cases, people feel very little discomfort around the injection site. While we won’t say that there is absolutely no pain involved, you might be surprised by how little you feel when receiving and HCG injections.
