What are Gorge Days?
Why would I want to gorge myself on foods that I have always tried to avoid?
The first two days of the HCG diet are “Gorge” days. That means you can eat anything you want especially those foods that contain a lot of fat. This helps to give the HCG a jump start. It takes 3 days for HCG to completely enter your system; gorging helps with hunger feelings while on the program. Don’t worry though, any weight gained on gorge days, is usually lost on the first few days of the diet.
Q: What are the best foods on which to gorge?
A: High fat calorie foods such as full fat dairy products, nuts, oils, avocados, etc.

Dr. Simeons writes:
Most patients who have been struggling with diets for years know how rapidly they gain if they let themselves go. They are very hard to be convinced of the absolute necessity of gorging for at least two days. Yet this must be insisted upon categorically if the further course of treatment is to run smoothly. It is necessary to proceed in this manner because the gain re-stocks the depleted normal fat reserves, whereas the subsequent loss is from the abnormal fat only.
Some patients say that they can no longer over eat because their stomach has shrunk. While we know that no stomach ever shrinks we insist that they eat highly concentrated foods such as milk chocolate, pastries with whipped cream, fried meats [particularly pork], eggs and bacon, mayonnaise, bread with thick butter and jam, etc. The time and trouble spent on pressing this point upon incredulous or reluctant patients is always amply rewarded afterwards.”
To the normal dieter this sounds crazy, but it really works!
So enjoy yourself for two guiltless days.

|Dinner||Fettuccini, cheese bread, a salad w/ blue cheese dressing & cheesecake|
|Late-night Snack||Ice cream or frozen cappuccino|
